Students can begin submitting their 2008–2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the Federal Processor.

March 15, 2008   

Rutgers' priority filing deadline to be considered for campus based aid (i.e. Federal Work Study, Federal Perkins Loan, Federal SEOG) — continuing students only.  Those that file their FAFSA after this date will be considered for such aid only if remaining funds are available.

April 1, 2008   

The Office of Financial Aid will start to accept Summer 2008 aid applications.
(Note: a 2007-2008 FAFSA must be on file to receive summer aid.)

April 15, 2008   

Internal Revenue Service deadline for submitting 2007 Federal Income Tax Return.
(Note: students may use estimated income information on the FAFSA in order to apply earlier than April 15.)

April 2008   

Financial Aid Offer Notices are sent to graduate students.

May 2008   

Financial Aid Offer Notices are sent to in-coming, undergraduate students.

June 1, 2008   

Students that received 2007-2008 NJ Tuition Aid Grant (from any NJ institution) must file their 2008-2009 FAFSA by this date for TAG renewal.

June 2008   

Financial Aid Offer Notices are sent to continuing undergraduate students.

July 2008   

The Office of Business Services will begin mailing Fall 2008 Term Bills to all registered students.

August 12, 2008*   

Due date for Fall 2008 Term Bills.

September 2, 2008*   

Start of Fall 2008 semester (for most colleges).

October 1, 2008   

FAFSA filing deadline for non-renewal TAG recipients—Fall & Spring.

November 2008   

The Office of Business Services will begin mailing Spring 2009 Term Bills to all registered students.

January 8, 2009*   

Due date for Spring 2009 Term Bills.

January 20, 2009*   

Start of Spring 2009 semester (for most colleges).

March 1, 2009   

FAFSA filing deadline for non-renewal TAG recipients—Spring.
